Sunday, June 25, 2023 — Today I made progress with the wiring for the garage — I went to Lowe’s and bought most of the items I’ll need to complete installing electrical outlets and lighting in the garage.
About half of what I spent was for the 12/2 MC Cable. I also bought the outlet boxes and clamps, along with outlets and mounting screws. I’m going to use pigtails on the outlets to facilitate installing them.
PLYMOUTH BRAKE LIGHTS. I’ve decided to run a new 12v supply to the master cylinder brake light switch. I don’t know what happened to the original 12v line, but my work-around will get the job done. I need to replace the brake light switch.
I originally thought about going diving under the dash to troubleshoot the wiring, but frankly, I’m not interested in pulling the damn dash apart, and that’s what it would take. I actually need to do that to fix the dash lights. Maybe later this year.
My goal is to get the Plymouth on the damn road in July. Once I receive the wiring supplies — which will include a fuse to protect the wiring — I’ll have brake lights again.
